Dining room

Dining room is made in Georgian style. We can see a part of the wall that is made of the nature rock. On the display cases you can see things that are concern War period and Stalin’s personality.

On the first display case are: a telephone, that was in the Bunker during the War, Stalin’s pipe.

On the second display case is: ”Order of the Victory”-it is the highest general order. In the end of the War words Stalin and Victory became synonyms.

The main part of it is made of platinum, the golden medallion is in the center, it has Kremlin on it, and red star rays are made of rubies. It has 16 karats 121 brilliants around it.

This order was given to the 11 Soviet generals, 3 of them had got it twice: Stalin, Jukov, and Vasilevskiy.

It was given to the 5 foreigners:

  • Montgomery (U.K.)
  • King Mihay (Romania)
  • Gimerskiy (Poland)
  • I.B.Tito (Yugoslavia)
  • Eisenhower (USA)

“The Order of the Victory” was given to L.I. Bregnev, but than this edict was canceled. On the walls, you can see posters from the founds of the Museum of Armed Force.

Tomskiy, Kenig and Lastochkin make sculptural portraits of I.V.Stalin.

The question-“Did Stalin work in this Bunker?” will be fair. The man, who was working with Stalin during the WW2 period, says that Stalin had visited the Bunker in 1941,he had a training automobile ride trough the under ground tunnel from the Kremlin to the Bunker.

Also, Stalin was working on this object in the end of November beginning of December 1941,at the most difficult time for Russia. Just in here, a decision about “Leave or Protect Moscow” was making in here. In the begging of December 5th 1945 counterattack of the Red Army under Moscow was started, it was successful.

So, Stalin moved to the Kremlin where he stayed. Now most of historians try to describe Stalin’s personality. The estimations are not the same. Some of them idolize his personality, but some think that he was a despot and tyrant.

As we think, the most right estimation gave W.Cherchil (Prime-Minister of UK) on December 23rd 1959 on Stalin’s 80th birthday.

Here is some part of his speech: “The biggest luck for Russia was that in its most challenge time it was under control of the genius and great commander I.V.Stalin.He was the greatest person of that time.

He was full of energy, big might person and merciless so as in his work as in his life. Stalin had a sense of humor and sarcasm; he could express his thoughts clearly. He was writing his speeches by him self, and in his poems, you can always feel ispolin’s might. This might was so big in Stalin that he seemed to be the greatest commander of all the time.

His influence to the people was magnificent. When he came in the hall at the Yalta’s conference, all of us, as by a command, got up and were holding our hands straight down. He could always find the way out from the most difficult things. He created the Empire!!!

He was fighting against enemies with their own hands. He pushed us, imperialistic, fight against imperialistic. He was the greatest of the dictators. He took Russia with nothing and left it as an atomic country. No. What ever they say, history never forgets such personalities!

Stalin, in his last notes was writing, that when he will die, he will be covered with a lot of trash, but the wind will flow it away.
